Service Description

Instructor: Teresa Marble This course is an upper elementary level math course intended to prepare students for middle grade and high school level math concepts. This course will enrich and support younger students' understanding of the four major mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) within the real number system (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals), as well as their applications. Early geometry and statistics concepts will also be explored. Mrs. Math recommends this course for 9-11 year old students preparing for middle school mathematics. Enrollment age is flexible, however, younger students looking for advanced math curriculum should contact Mrs. Math prior to registering. This online course will include 34.5 weeks of live instruction, printable coursework for each unit, assessments, and a comprehensive solutions manual for students and parents. SEMESTER 1 CONTENT: Unit 1: Whole Numbers and Place Value Unit 2: Whole Number Operations Unit 3: Understanding Decimals Unit 4: Factors and Multiples Unit 5: Intro to Fractions SEMESTER 2 CONTENT: Unit 6: Adding and Subtracting Fractions Unit 7: Multiplying and Dividing Fractions Unit 8: Algebraic Reasoning Unit 9: Coordinate Planes and Graphs Unit 10: Measurement Unit 11: Geometry
